Podcast: When Is A Pet Not A Pet?

In this episode of the Reawaken Right Relationship podcast we tackle the common, everyday language we use when we are referring to our domesticated animals and the relationship we have with them. Words like ‘pet’, ‘owner’, ‘fur-kid’ are outdated, inadequate and unsatisfactory words which by simple definition set up a hierarchy of humans having power over the animals, thus making the animals subordinate. This is the antithesis of right relationship and animism as it doesn’t permit or even encourage equality between the species.

You’ll also hear ways you can change your perspective and learn how to change the language you may be using with animals to a more encompassing expression.
