Most probably like you, I have used my love for animals as a foundation for supporting them. Over time I discovered what I thought was “the” way to treat animals was actually rooted in the teachings of a society that believes animals are inferior to humans. I realized those conventional teachings resulted in creating a wedge between myself and the animals, between myself and my core value of treating animals with respect.

I was shattered.

And from that shattering, true kinship with animals emerged. Why am I telling you this? Because it’s my truth.

Practicing true kinship makes me aware that because of conventional societal conditioning, I have been inspired and enabled to disconnect, regroup and reconnect with animals in an authentic and animistic way.

  • it removes the egocentric belief of humans being the most important entity and therefore have power over animals

  • it recognizes each animal has their own agency and can connect with me as/if they see fit

  • I have reconnected with my authentic core value of treating animals with respect

  • I have received more clarity about my relationship with animals — my animal family, domesticated animals, animals in the wild and non-physical animals

  • I have realized I can be in true kinship with animals without leaving an essential core part of myself behind

Here’s an invitation for you to join me on this path. I hope this encourages you to look at your relationship with animals differently so that a new place of understanding begins to open for you.

My work is devoted to helping you show up in the world for animals from the fullness of your authentic self. To find out more visit janetroper.com
