What I Bring To The Table

Originally published August 1, 2018

Did you know? One of my absolutely favorite things I do is writing. It's right up there with having conversations with animals and helping folks learn how to be in right relationship with all sentient beings, whether through using shamanic practices or animal communication practices. That's because I'm all about communication and relationship with others. It's probably entrenched in my DNA, and it probably doesn't hurt that I'm an extrovert, an ENFP on the Myers-Briggs, an Aquarius and a 7 on the Enneagram. And Hufflepuff. In the world of Harry Potter, I'm in the Hufflepuff House, which is the most inclusive among the four houses.

As my mom always told me when I was growing up, "You would talk to the fence post if it talked back". She didn't realize it, but she had nailed it - I talked to the fence post and it DID talk back.

So that's why I adore writing: it gives us a chance to have relationship, to stay in touch and converse about what is important to us. It gives us the chance to get to know each other better and to go beyond the superfluous chatter on social media.

Yet, it's only fair we know who we're talking to, right? To know what each of us brings to the table.

Let’s Start With You

Let's start with you....here's how I perceive you......you love animals, you want what is best for the animals in your life. You are their care-taker, their provider. You are willing to go to the nth degree and beyond to give your animal pals (and all animals) the quality of life you believe is rightfully theirs. They are not 'just an animal' to you, but another sentient being. You are intuitive (whether or not you claim that part of yourself). You strive to continue learning, to build right relationship with those beings around you.

How did I do? If I missed something, leave a comment.

Now about me. Because I've been going through so many changes this summer I want to be upfront and transparent about what I bring to our conversations, what I bring to our table.

How I Approach Our Conversations

To both hear and listen to you with compassion and empathy. To speak in confidence with honesty and integrity in a way that helps to build the relationship between you and your animals. To assist you with my specialized skill sets when asked, helping you create the circumstances where you are actually living out the hopes, dreams and love you share with your animal family.

Isn't it lovely what we all bring to the table? How does it get better than that?

If this has whetted your curiosity and you're wondering about ways we can collaborate, contact me and let's talk.
