When Doing All The Right Things Doesn’t Work
After I first learned about animal communication, I thought it was the most magical thing in the world! I would schedule an appointment with an animal communicator for one of my animal family members with requests like:
Tell dog Teddy to stop peeing in the house
Tell cat Scheisters to quit opening cabinet doors
Tell horse Shiloh to stop turning his butt towards me
Because they didn’t listen to me.

I did all the “right things” for the animals, worked with trainers, behaviorists, animal communicators, animal bodyworkers and vets. My investing time and money in all the professionals was further proof to me the animals were willfully ignoring me.
Not listening to ME.
I innocently believed if I commanded it — and if they really loved me — they would do as I asked. No questions, no hesitation, nothing but complete, blind obedience.
Those were some of my my formative experiences that led me to true kinship with animals.
What I didn’t know at the time was animals are sentient beings and kin with their own agency

Beliefs at the heart of my practice:
humans do not have dominion over animals
animals are kin, not pets
to offer instead of demand
to listen instead of disregard
to respect instead of disparage
