Quest For A New Computer
These days I’m feeling a strong kinship with Frodo from Lord of the Rings. I also am on a quest. Luckily I don’t need to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom!
My quest is to raise money for a new computer, replacing the 10+ yr old one - ‘Old Faithful’. I need one with the space & power to handle what true kinship is growing into and to integrate seamlessly with the decades worth of work already created. One that can handle admin, community and creative tasks, from the Kindred True Kinship online membership community, to 1:1 sessions to writing the book, writing the newsletter and creating social media content.
This computer has brought you 3? 4? incarnations of True Kinship With Animals Podcast and countless episodes

I am looking at a MacBook Pro that starts at about $1,600.00 USD. Yes, I know it’s pricey, let me sing the praises of how Macs have helped me bring you true kinship with animals through the years:
They’re Janet-friendly. Being neurodivergent, Macs and I think alike
Because of their long shelf life they have a lower environmental impact which Apple works to improve
When they do need repair (rarely) the service at Apple stores and their authorized service providers is unmatched
Their software updates are easy (belongs under Janet-friendly) and they have strong built-in security features, which are much needed in this day and age
How about joining me on this quest for the new computer? Quests are always more fun when you have companions joining you. After all, in Lord of the Rings, where would Frodo be without Sam?
